six degrees...
while playing on imdb the other day, i discovered that i am one degree removed from both marlon brando and charelton heston.
in 1999, my grandfather's cousin passed away. i never knew him very well - we met once when i was about 8 years old. i was sad that he died. this past year i visited an aunt who told me something about his life. he spoke seven languages, lived in a apartment near radio city music hall, and was an accomplished flamenco dancer. his name was joe king.
while at his wake in checotah, oklahoma, i met his brother. an energetic individual named wright who regaled me with stories of his and joe's boyhood, and the pranks they used to play on my grandfather. he also told me some about his acting career, which included roles in 'a streetcar named desire' and 'planet of the apes'.
i wonder if i'll meet him again someday?

a friend suggested that i name the crazy kitten ziggy. we'll see if it fits, i'm not so sure she likes it. i thought maybe rasputin or something, just for irony.
