has anyone noticed? caught up in the summertime rush, just like me I imagine. so what's new... work school, work school. intersession is over on thursday, god bless! then only one more month, and I think I'm going to take july off. completely... quit my crappy job... and not be in school. and just go around and have lots of fun :) i deserve it! I want to go to austin most of all, and maybe other places too.. sunshine and beaches.
here is a silly little song i wrote at work the other day. peachy keen! enjoy.
serena.
my lost and lonely serena
oh where did you go wrong?
you used to be my dearest friend,
all that remains is this sad song.
there was a special bond between us,
in two short hours it was gone.
you seduced the man that held my heart
the mistake then seen come early dawn
and now you're lost and lonely
your only friend has turned away
just want to lose this aching feeling
this regret towards yesterday
this broken heart will never heal
my dear girl I can't trust no more
together we could take on the world
but you kissed him and you shut that door
so now you sit there lost and lonely
thinking maybe that i'll call
with that cigarette burning in your hand
crying because you've lost it all.
my lost and lonely serena
oh where did you go wrong?
never again, my dear jaded friend
and so i'll end this sad lonely song.

so I go to all this trouble of signing onto the internet, and starting up my browser, and signed on the blogger....and....
blankness.
I had a funny dream about composing music, and then flying away over downtown seattle, running from someone who was chasing me. always my dreams are like that, running from something. wonder what? very weird. i need a cigarette!
had a crappy weekend that turned out tolerable well, but then again, swing sets always have cheered me up. drank and smoked too much... nothing new there. and i learned how to flip open a knife and look all cool and smooth (like i didn't already, look cool and smooth that is)
oh blah this entry sucks.
bubye for now.
sky above
fire burn below
it's all so easy
simple within you

4 A's! 1 B! I am queen of the world!
of course the one lousy B was in accounting, but that is a really hard class....
A in statistics! A in economics!
I am queen of the world!
3.77 GPA! Oh my god! Haven't done that well since, oh, like the 9th grade.
life is good.

oh my poor, poor little car. my zippy little honda. god forgive me, i've been so bad to it!
thursday night there was a terrible thunderstorm here in norman. lots of trees were blown over, and lots of flooding in the streets
and what did i do?
I LEFT MY SUNROOF OPEN.
yes I am that stupid. so my upholstery is still squishy and it smells so horribly! my poor little car!
then friday night I went out with my roomate, and we sat and I had some vodka tonics (yummy) and came home. 30 minutes later I go to give her a ride somewhere, and what did I discover?
I HAVE A FLAT TIRE!
really flat. like the car was resting on the edge of the hubcap. so thank god I had made it home before it died, but how long had it been leaking? what stupid thing did i run right over?
I called AAA today and had the tire repaired, and then I opened all the windows/sunroof to air out the inside, and I feel asleep. and it started raining! again!
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!
no, but it wasn't that bad, only a drizzle, and I ran outside practically screaming because I knew it would be soaked again, but it wasn't. thank god I caught it before it really started raining.

boxes boxes everywhere!
liz is unpacking as I type, and it's going to be an adventure these next two weeks. i've acquired lots of really cool cd's, and a cool roomate, and a hamster. rock 'n roll.
now if we can just figure out what to do with her dining table + chairs, and the entertainment center... probably put them out by the dumpster, because we can't cram anymore shit in here!
beginning intersession tomorrow, prinicipals of communication... should be cake. very easy, the hardest part will be getting there every morning at 9am for the next 3 weeks! I am so jealous of all the people who just graduated. bastards the lot of them.
let time be swift until the 1st of june...

she's alive, she's alive, she's alllllllllliiiiiivvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
yeah so i'm still kickin', just barely. first exam in about 7 hours, everyone wish me luck. i'm so ready it's not even funny (pathetic attempts to bolster my crushed self-confidence). fun tidbits: cd shopping today, among other finds I purchased Buddy Holly's greatest hits, the new Jill Scott Album, and a Radiohead poster. CD Zone is oh so tasty. Also did a bit o' shopping at the mall, and ate some lasagna and breadsticks with shanna banana. last night at the bar I did my "let's write down the clever things people say" routine.. which makes it hard to participate in conversations, by the way. and I came up with this hilarious quote:
"you know what would be awesome? strip clubs, with strippers, you can HIT!"
thank you thank you, i'm appearing tonight and every night courtesy of blogger. no autographs, please.
other fun discoveries, behind the los dos apartments on university, there is a haphazard fence you can use to climb on top of the shopping center. so i kicked it up above the cell phone store with my friend ireland, and we watched the stars. it was tres neato. i'm sure he was highly impressed with my climbing abilities, in a skirt and flip-flops to boot. hey, i wasn't in the army for nothing!
smooches to all my darlings. sleep well.

nevermind, i forgot and cut and pasted something else.. so that silly post got deleted. sigh. and i can't even remember what i said! it was a good one too! i hate that!
i just received an email that made me cry... and here's some little tidbits. i know you guys won't think it's any big deal, but it made me feel something that was pretty amazing. this is from a woman who i've met through an adoption search page. her friend has a daughter who has the same birthday as me, and was also born in texas, and the adoption was handled by the same agency that handled mine. and this women who wrote me has been reunited with her birth son after 20-something years. here's what she has to say to me...
Subject: You are being adopted again.
Dear Kate,
We are going to adopt you too.... For 27 years I looked for him [her son] from scraps of information they had said and finally one day the laws of the State of Washington opened up and we met. He and I are like twins. We eat the same things the same way, we use our body language the same, we think the same. Most importane is that you -- Kate--- understand - that when you meet... all of a sudden you realize how much of YOU had been missing of yourself. Your whole world will get hundreds of times better in all ways ... I am so happy you responded to Margaret's notice on the computer. One can get so discouraged searching and almost give up until a Kate pops up and lights the fire again. Thank you Kate. Margaret is so excited too. I think both of you can encourage each other ... [in reference to some legal questions I had] Ask me any question and I will answer with a workable solution. Is it OK if we adopt you too?
My love to you,
Lorna (your other mother)
I lit a fire for someone! Wow, I just feel like I'm important again, like someone really cares. This is the greatest feeling in the world. The years of experience that can happen in the span of a day...
