I had a really nice weekend. Braved the King of Prussia mall in the face of Black Friday shoppers, and scored some great clothes and boots on sale. Did a few touristy things on Saturday - finally rode the ducks which was so much fun! and visited the national constitution center, which is just beautiful. all around a nice holiday weekend spent in good company. good food, good times! hope the same is true for all of you.
This week will be my first full week of work in ages. Here's to getting something done!

brotherly love
such a cliched title. but it seems that's the only way to describe my life lately, with silly little catch phrases that people use to describe philadelphia. philadelphia. i live in pennsylvania. as of tomorrow, i will have lived in pennsylvania for 9 months. i wonder when i'll stop counting the days? my world has begun a revolution lately, i'm again seeking change, and i'm not sure where i will end up. today i had an interview for a promotion with my company. if i get it, it means a 20% pay raise and i don't have to do administrative work anymore. no more faxing things for people, i will no longer be so-and-so's "assistant" - i will have graduated to the world of "manager" - if i get it. big if. i'm also applying for other jobs to keep my options open, and while there are a lot of intriguing opportunities out there, i seriously doubt anyone is going to bite in response to being sent my meager resume. so there are lots of options. i get a job somewhere else and i take it. i get promoted and i stay here. i don't get promoted but stay here because i can't score another better job. i don't get promoted and quit and i move to nyc to be a temp and live like a rock star. who knows where the wind may blow?
i'm not sure that i like the air of uncertainty. i was becoming very settled in my life, but lots of things are still pushing me to change. i haven't been happy with my current position. i haven't been as social as i'd like to be. so what happens now? i have no idea! the possbilities are endless.
some things never change. my car still costs me too much money. my cat gets under my feet. i can't gain weight. my appetite fluctuates. my credit card balance doesn't decrease.
some things DO change. i've moved across the country, i'm developing my career. oh, and i have tickets to see the pixies next month. and then wilco and the flaming lips. and then bright eyes! that is really the best part :)

car broke down today, so i had to miss work. had to wait for a tow, and by the time he showed up, it would have been too late to take the bus. i think it's a sign.

i haven't posted in a long time! i'm still here, life is well. i'm reevaluating my job currently, after walks in the city today i revitalized my desire to get a job and move downtown, and SELL MY CAR! that would make me so happy. job will come first, because i have a good stable place to live. it's scary to think about. the promotion is still a possibility, but i don't think it would be enough to make me stick around. i'm so restless in the suburbs in a little cubicle with no one to talk to. i want to be where there is life and activity and stimulation. drinks on weeknight without worry of getting home. friends close by.
my kitty is home and well on the road to recovery. $600, a wire in her jaw, and she's back on solid food and slowly regaining some much needed weight.
i rode public transportation today, and i really enjoyed it.
love life happiness to all!
