sing along, folks (tune of that i'm sorry song)
i'm tired
so tired
these interviews
have got me feelin' blue..
blah. today a lady hated me for being late, but i wasn't late, it was a misunderstanding, but she still hated me. nothing like a horrible first impression to make an interview just GREAT.
i have two more but i'm dejected and i don't want to go back.
but i gotta.
c'est la vie.

daylight savings turns the world upside down... i got out of bed before noon.
job interviews continue, promising in many areas but like all things in life, never certain until i receive that glorious offer in writing.
i played two scales last night. i haven't touched my guitar in months. maybe i'll play more when i get home, out of boredom, or because i'll have a piano to tune it to.
moving home on thursday. my mom hired me a moving company, can you believe that? i've moved every 6 to 9 months for the last 5 1/2 years... 6 apartments, 3 houses, 2 countries, and i guess she figured it was time to give my back a break. so i'm looking forward to standing with a mug of coffee and pointing where i want things to go. take a bit of the sting out of where i'll be moving.
i've had a recurring blast from the past that is consistently making me feel weird and stupid. don't you hate that! being reminded of something that happened, some way you acted, that you just want to forget. erases everything good that has happened in the meantime and just shoots you right back to that time when you really hated yourself. ICK.
pat left for d.c. this morning. i didn't get to say goodbye, but sometimes it's better that way. i'll just think about the next time we'll get to say hello instead. every time i meet someone worth while, one of us has to leave. i was making a list in my head the other night of such occurances of good friends who have moved since i've been 19. first was jim, then aaron... next time it'll be me who is off somewhere new and interesting. but i'd rather meet someone and get to stay together for once. no time limits.

so off i go for the next exciting installment of job interviews, this time with tv, seemed to make sense, since radio and newspaper have failed to pan out... it will be fun to act perky and try and sell myself, all the while knowing in the back of my mind they couldn't care less, because i will look damn good while i do it. and then i'll go home and help my mom rearrange the living room.
